Aries musicians are a big deal on my site. Aries runs from March 20 (or 21, I keep finding conflicting info) through April 19th. This is actually the first sign in the zodiac, despite starting in March. They are known as “the Ram” and affiliated with the Fire element. Dynamic and courageous, you may not think they would be good in a collaboration. However, Aries can be counted on when the going gets tough, and their (sometimes brutal) honesty can help creative growth.
I have a post listing every Aries musician here. I also have a post about how Aries can use their sign to help their music career here. This post is just a collection of people I think should collab based on their shared birthday.

Aries Musicians Who Should Collab
If you make mashups or remixes, please feel free to make any of these and let me know! I’ll gladly post a link to your work and give you all the credit for being a genius and also a lot less lazy than me. I’m more of a “thinker” than a “doer,” and I’m not much of a “thinker” to begin.
Let me know your ideal Aries Collab:
My dream Aries collab: Click To TweetGeorge Benson & Stephanie Mills
Whaaaaaat shut up this would be so good. Born March 22nd, George Benson is a legendary jazz singer/songwriter/musician:

Stephanie Mills is an incredible singer/songwriter and actor, known for her work on the Broadway version of The Wiz, as well as many other hits over several decades:
This is such a fantastic vocal performance. Even if you’re not into Broadway/theater music, check it out for the vocal alone. People born this day are sincere, devoted & friendly, which makes for a great collaboration environment!
Chaka Kahn & The 1975
George Daniel of The 1975 shares his March 23rd birthday with the legendary Chaka Kahn. The 1975 are an English pop-rock band that started in 2002 and have had a decent amount of hits since then:

Chaka Kahn is, of course, a legendary R&B icon:
People born this day are expressive & exciting. I think this could be a solid collab!
Big Sean & Elton John
This one might be kinda weird, but I think it has a decent shot at being unique and creative at least. Born March 25th, Big Sean is a singer/songwriter and rapper:

Elton John is a singer/songwriter, I’m sure we all know who he is since his career has spanned many decades:

Honestly, I don’t know why this one couldn’t work. Elton John has worked with rappers before, and Big Sean collaborates with people a lot. People born this day are said to be creative and magnetic, so I think this would be worth a try!
Diana Ross & Jay Sean
Born March 26th, Diana Ross is an R&B legend and actress. She got her start in The Supremes and went on to an extremely successful solo career:

Jay Sean is a singer/songwriter and producer, also born March 26th:
People born this day are innovative and enthusiastic, which are great collab traits in my opinion. I didn’t find any info that they’ve collabed or even met before but we should make this happen!
Kenny Chesney & Steven Tyler
This one doesn’t seem too far fetched. Steven Tyler has already tried his hand at country music, and Kenny Chesney seems like he would be cool with a more ‘rock’ feel. Born March 26th, Kenny Chesney is a country singer:

Steven Tyler got his start in Aerosmith, but has since gone on to do his own thing. He’s done some country music, but he’s mostly known for his rock music:

People born this day are rational and intelligent, which seems like good qualities for a collaboration. I think this would be a pretty sweet collab, and if Steven Tyler wants to lean more into country, Kenny Chesney is just the guy to take him there.

Fergie & Jessie J
This would be cool, no? Both born March 27th, Fergie got her start in the Black Eyed Peas but went on to have a successful solo career:
Jessie J is an absolutely phenomenal pop singer and I feel like she’s never truly gotten the credit she deserves.

I think a collab with Fergie would be a great way for Fergie to show her vocals with a worthy collab, and it would give Jessie J the attention she should have. People born today are adventurous and reliable, which sound like opposite things but who knows, I think they should try it!
Mariah Carey & BLACKPINK
Lisa Manoban of BLACKPINK shares her March 27th birthday with Mariah Carey. We of course know Mariah Carey from her decades of mind-blowing success:
BLACKPINK is a Kpop group that came out in 2016. I think if they did a collab with Mariah it would sound amazing:
People born this day are persuasive and flexible, so there may be some creative conflicts here. However, as long as everyone remains committed to the ultimate goal (the song) it should be fine. I think this should happen!
Lady Gaga & Salt-N-Pepa
This would be amazing. Cheryl James, aka “Salt” of Salt-N-Pepa, shares her March 28th birthday with Gaga. Lady Gaga needs no introduction, of course:
Salt-N-Pepa is maybe a little old school for my Gen Z friends, but definitely check them out if you like awesome women rap groups:
Salt-N-Pepa were fun, wrote great music, and were/are great dancers. That sums up Lady Gaga as well, so this could be really cool! People born this day are spontaneous and spiritual, which would make an awesome collaborating environment.

Matt Nathanson & Reba McEntire
Eh, who knows, this might work. Both born March 28th, they’re from different genres but I think Matt Nathanson could turn a little country if he needed to. Matt Nathanson is a singer/songwriter with an acoustic pop vibe:
I’ve written about Reba McEntire a lot on my blog. I took her Country Music MasterClass and you can see the details of that here, as well as my final results here. Reba is a legendary country music icon, and also just seems like a genuinely sweet and funny person:
Reba has a very strong country accent and I’ve never heard her not use it, so I think Matt Nathanson would have to lean into her genre a little. However, I think this would be cool! Especially if they did more of an acoustic, stripped-down thing. People born this day are communicative and inspiring, so this could work out great!
Celine Dion & Thomas Rhett
I mean, I dunno. They’re both good singers. I just don’t know if their styles could blend well, but why not try? Born March 30th, Celine Dion is an absolute icon with an incredible voice:
Celine Dion has always been pop, but she leans very heavily into classical performance, in my opinion. Thomas Rhett is a country singer, so obviously a way different genre, but he has a great voice:
Interestingly, although they’ve never collabed in person, Thomas Rhett has said that he sings Celine Dion in the shower. So, there’s a great start to a collab if I’ve ever heard one. People born this day are determined and fearless, which can lead to some conflicts if they’re not determined to keep the song as the primary goal. Why not try it out and see?
Norah Jones & Tracy Chapman
This one would be amazinggggg I really want this one to work. These are both March 30th babies as well, and I guess Celine Dion could duet well with either of them, but I think a Norah/Tracy vibe would be awesome. Norah Jones is a singer and piano player who falls into the jazz/pop category:
Tracy Chapman is an acoustic soul artist whom I adore:
Both have really unique voices, and I think it would be cool to hear how they blend. People born this day are known to be attractive and charming, which would at the very least get some streams!
Jill Scott & Kelly Price
Aries is turning out to be an incredible season for R&B/soul singers! Born April 4th, Jill Scott is a singer/songwriter and actor:
Kelly Price actually got her start as a backup singer for Mariah Carey, but has since gone on to her own successful R&B career:
Technically, the two have worked together before. This is a live performance and they shared the stage (and sounded awesome!) so this should absolutely happen. People born this day are sensible and playful, which has all the makings of a great collaboration.
Juicy J & Pharrell Williams
Born April 5th, Jordan Houston III, aka Juicy J was originally part of Three 6 Mafia but is now a successful solo rapper.
He shares his birthday with singer and producer Pharrell Williams, whose most notable hit is “Happy:”
People born this day are said to be cool and confident. This can be a good or bad thing in collaboration. Since these two are long-time pros, I’m sure they can put creative differences aside and make an awesome song!
Imagine Dragons and Hall & Oates
Ben McKee of Imagine Dragons shares his April 7th birthday with John Oates. Imagine Dragons is a pop/rock group from Las Vegas, USA:

Hall & Oates is a pop/rock duo that was huge in the 70s, but their hits are still well-known today:
GUESS WHAT OMG – someone actually made a mashup of these two!
Please go to that artists’ channel and give them some love! It’s a small channel but I love the mashup! Anyway, I still think they should do a real collab. People born this day are generous and honest, which makes for a stellar collaboration.
My Chemical Romance & Jesse McCartney
Gerard Way, singer/songwriter of My Chemical Romance, shares his April 9th birthday with Jesse McCartney. My Chemical Romance is a rock band from Newark, New Jersey (which is also where Whitney Houston is from, just saying).

This is a way different vibe from Jesse McCartney, who is a pop artist with zero rock vibes:
Here’s the thing: Jesse McCartney has a great voice and I think he could easily switch into rock. I have no clue, but I’d like to find out. People born this day are patient and sensitive, which is perfect for a collab.
Babyface & Mandy Moore
Why does this one excite me so much?? I just really think it would be great. Born April 10th, Babyface is a legendary songwriter and producer. Seriously, look at everything he’s done. He’s also a singer but seems to prefer staying behind-the-scenes more:
Mandy Moore is a singer and actress who came into fame in the pop-singer rush of the late 90s:
Here’s the thing: Mandy Moore has had a tough time in the industry. She was constantly compared to Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera, and generally regarded as the lesser of the three. She also entered into an abusive relationship where her career suffered because he held her back. Since Babyface is such an incredible songwriter and producer, they could make something amazing together even if they didn’t both sing on it. If he wanted to, it would still sound amazing (we know he can sing).
People born this day are intuitive and focused, which is great and will help them work together. I really want this one to happen!
Joss Stone & Lights
Born April 11th, these two would sound fantastic together. Joss Stone has a very unique voice and rose to fame in the early 2000s”
Lights Poxleitner-Bokan is a Canadian singer/songwriter, with a totally different feel from Joss Stone but still, she has a great voice:
Okay but why couldn’t this work? If either of them tried to sing each other’s genre, I think they’d do an awesome job. I think if they collaborated and made a blend of electro-R&B, it could sound really cool. People born this day are empathetic and flexible, which makes for a great collab.
Panic! At The Disco & EXO
Brendan Urie (the soul and founding member of P!ATD) shares his April 12th birthday with Sehun of EXO. I absolutely love P!ATD so much. I don’t know what song to even show you because I love all of them (and covered one), but here’s a great song that shows his incredible songwriting as well as his vocal range:
Exo is a Kpop/Chinese boy band, and they took a hiatus in 2020 (but didn’t everyone?) I’m pretty sure they’re still a band, and I think they would make a great collab with Brendan Urie:
I’m very biased, but I feel like Brendan Urie could collab with literally anyone. But also, I’m not focusing enough on how great Exo is. I definitely think this would be a great collab. People born this day are curious and wise, which I guess would be good for a co-write? Why not? Let’s find out.
Akon & Chance The Rapper
Both Born April 16th, Aliaune Damala Badara Akon Thiam goes by just Akon and is a singer/songwriter and producer:
Chancellor Johnathan Bennett, known as Chance the Rapper, is a rapper and singer/songwriter:
Apparently these two have already collabed with Kanye West, but they could make a great song with just the two of them also. People born today are sociable and loyal so I’m sure they would work well together!
Avi Kaplan & The Spice Girls
Avi Kaplan (formerly of Pentatonix, now of Avriel & the Sequoias) shares his April 17th birthday with Victoria Beckham of the Spice Girls. Kaplan is well-known for his ridiculous range and bass vocals. He has also done a lot of solo work:

The Spice Girls were a huge deal in the 90s, a record-setting pop group founded by Simon Cowell:
I’m not at all shocked that these two haven’t collaborated, haha, but I think they could pull it off! People born today are ambitious and caring, great for working together and making a banger.

elletea
What about Aretha?!
MellaMusic
elleteaI didn’t include her in the duets because I tried to focus only on artists who are still living (as of writing the post) – but you’re right, anyone could duet with her! They just need to use something she already made. One of my favorite duets with her is “I Knew You Were Waiting” with George Michael, and “It Isn’t, It Wasn’t, It Ain’t Never Gonna Be” with Whitney Houston. Aretha is listed on my complete Aries list here!
