Christina Aguilera’s Masterclass – Does It Really Work for Vocalists?

I am excited to share this new blog series, where I’ll be taking Christina Aguilera’s MasterClass and applying it to my session singing!
Part one of my full review is here, and part two of my full review is here! These posts include all of the videos from my vlog as well.
I’ve been a long-time Christina fan, pretty much since she first came out. Her vocal power and runs were electric, exciting, inspiring. I studied them and memorized them. When I heard she was doing a MasterClass, I was intrigued. I had heard of Masterclass but had never really seen anything that might apply to me.
To be perfectly honest, I’m still not sure if this will apply to me. She is a superstar performer, touring the world and singing live shows to 30,000 people. I’m a session singer. I sing in a booth for individual clients. I’m really not sure if her tips will apply, but I’m going to take detailed, honest notes. I will let you know if the advice is helpful at all and whether it applies to the live performer or session singer (or both).
So, I contacted Masterclass with this idea, and just so you know, I’m now an affiliate of them. This means that if you watch my videos and decide to take the class too, I make a percentage of what you spend. You don’t spend anything extra, I just get a little cash. I will be totally honest about it, though! Here is my first video of signing up for the class:
If you want to sign up too, here is the link!

I will be vlogging more frequently about it, then doing round-up blog posts combining several of the vlogs. I’m doing this because it’s easier to make several short videos than several tiny blog posts, and this way there will be a nice variety of information on both my vlog and here. If you’d like to stay up-to-date on the vlogs, please follow me here! Otherwise, you can check back in for the roundup posts here.
Are you curious about the class? Have you taken it already or would you consider it? Let me know in the comments!

There are a number of vocal exercises that we can use to improve the tone and quality of our voice. Thanks, Mella for sharing your experience.
