I’ve worked with the incredible R4NYTE before and was happy to work with him again. Cloudy Glass was a fun project! I didn’t know they’d be adding a male singer to it until it was released, but I like having several singers on a track. I think it provides the listener with a nice variety and mixes things up a little.
Here is the video for Cloudy Glass:
You may notice I sound a little different in this track (not my usual voice). That was a stylistic decision I made because I felt my natural voice was a little too “light” for the song. I decided to place my voice further in the back of my throat. This gives it a feel that I think compliments the song better. Some people might not agree, haha, but when I was in my booth working on it I decided to just go with it. R4nyte had no complaints about it so I’m hoping that means they liked it too!
R4nyte is great about letting me know exactly where the song should go in terms of storytelling, lyrical content, and edits. This makes my job so much easier and makes the project a lot of fun!
If you liked the song, please check out their others on iTunes here. Supporting the people who hire me means I get more support as well! Plus there are several amazing artists who contributed to this project. Or if you want, you can share on Twitter by clicking this here link:
