I am so excited to tell you about this project! I am such a huge Tracy Chapman fan, and of course specifically this song. Recently, I was hired to do a remix of Fast Car!
This was my brother’s favorite song when we were kids. I remember him just hitting play over and over. He would totally zone out on Fast Car and of course, I didn’t mind hearing it on repeat. I was so excited when this project came in. I hope I did it justice!
If you don’t know the original song, please please check it out. It’s such a heartbreaking, beautiful song and you’ll probably end up with it on repeat like my brother.

You definitely did it justice. It’s pleasantly similar to the original with some added freshness. I didn’t realize a remix could include redoing the vocals. I guess I don’t know the subtle difference between a cover and a remix. It might not matter much…
