Taurus Musicians with the Same Birthday (Who Should Collaborate)

Taurus musicians are a common topic on my blog (as are every other zodiac sign). I have every Taurus musician listed here. I also have a post on how to thrive as a Taurus musician here. Today we’re just talking about Taurus musicians who have the same birthday and thinking about how they should collab. Feel free to make any mashups of any of these!

Taurus Musicians Who Share a Birthday
These are just artists I want to see collab. If you want to see every Taurus musician, check that out here. Also, let me know your ideal Taurus collab:

Iggy Pop & The Cure
James Newell Osterberg Jr. (aka Iggy Pop) shares his April 21st birthday with Robert Smith of The Cure. Iggy Pop is a singer/songwriter commonly known as “the Godfather of punk music:”

The Cure is an English rock band that rose to fame in the 1980s:

Guess what? Someone already made a mashup of these two:
Please support the channel and the cool people who make these mashups! In terms of a collab, people born this day are said to be wise and kind. Great collaboration traits!
Greta Van Fleet & Home Free
Okay it’s weird, but hear me out. Josh and Jake Kiszka of Greta Van Fleet shares their April 23rd birthday with Adam Rupp of Home Free. Adam is the beatboxer of the a capella country group:

Greta Van Fleet is a rock band from Michigan. Josh and Jake are twins and formed the band with their younger brother:
It may not seem like these two groups could collab, but I feel like it’s worth a shot. What band couldn’t use a great beatboxer?? People born this day are clever and perceptive, which may help a collaboration environment. Only one way to find out!
Barbra Streisand & Kelly Clarkson
Both born April 24th, I think we all know who these two queens are. Barbra Streisand is a legendary singer and actor:
Kelly Clarkson rose to fame as the first winner of American Idol. Her debut album was huge and she went on to have many more successes as a singer, actor, and TV personality:
Kelly has performed one of Barbra’s songs live, but they’ve never collaborated as far as I can tell. People born this day are confident and sensible, so while they may butt heads from time to time, they’re sure to work things out and make great music.
My Morning Jacket & Fall Out Boy
Jim James of My Morning Jacket shares his April 27th birthday with Patrick Stump of Fall Out Boy. My Morning Jacket is a rock band from Kentucky. I had no idea they existed until they were on American Dad, but that show convinced me to check them out:
Fall Out Boy is an American pop/rock band. I’m a huge fan, I think the melodies are always catchy and I get it, they’re more “pop rock” so a lot of true rock fans criticize them, but honestly I don’t care. Good music is good music:
People born this day are charming and balanced, which should make for a great collab!

Bon Iver & Travis Scott
Justin Vernon of Bon Iver shares an April 30th birthday with Travis Scott. Bon Iver is an indie folk band from the United States (Wisconsin), and Justin Vernon founded the band:
Travis Scott is a rapper, singer/songwriter, and producer. His real name is Jacques Berman Webster II. According to Wikipedia, his musical style “has been described as a fusion of traditional hip hop, lo-fi and ambient.”
People born this day are said to be reliable and caring. If you’re a musician, you’ll know that “reliable” is not a common trait among our field. This should be important for a collab.
Lily Allen & Exo
Lily Allen shares her May 2nd birthday with Tao of Exo. Lilly Allen is the daughter of actor Keith Allen, and her music is described as “electropop.”
EXO is a South Korean/Chinese boy band with nine members. Tao is a member of a subgroup of EXO, EXO-M. If this is confusing, just imagine if two of the One Direction members formed their own group but called it “Two Directions” or something. Here is EXO-M:
Kpop groups have collaborated with American acts before, so I think this could work! People born this day are modest and practical, which could work well, but I’m curious about the other EXO members’ zodiac signs and how that would work.
N*Sync & Green Day
Lance Bass of N*Sync shares a May 4th birthday with Mike Dirnt of Green Day. N*Sync was one of the biggest boybands of all time. They were huge for millennials, but I’m sure all generations have at least heard of them:
Green Day is more of a rock group, with their hit “Time of Your Life” being everyone’s college graduation for the next 5 years. I honestly don’t know that this collab would be good, but I think it’s worth a shot:
People born this day are diligent and ambitious, which may cause conflict in a group setting. However, they’re both already used to working in groups, so I think it would be fine. I feel like N*Sync would have to lean into Green Day’s genre, because the other way wouldn’t work. I’d be curious to hear it though!
Adele & Craig David
Shut up this would be amazing! Born May 5th, Adele is a well-known soul pop singer. She’s most well known for her ballads and ridiculous belting skills:
Craig David is less well-known, but hugely talented. I had his first album and his runs are incredible. He’s kinda like Justin Bieber but with more R&B influence:
Since both of them have incredible voices, I think a duet would be incredible. Craig David has talked about Adele here, which I think (and hope) means they’d be down to work together! People born this day are said to be independent and innovative, which I think both of them show through their music.
Bob Seger & Exo
I know, it’s weird, and I’ve already used Exo in this post. But Baekhyun of Exo has his own solo career and shares his May 6th birthday with Bob Seger, so they might as well collab. Bob Seger is HUGE in Detroit, so I feel like I might know about him more than other people might, but he’s had many national hits:
Baekhyun was (or is? I don’t know if the solo thing is permanent) part of EXO and also EXO-K, which, if you’ll remember from above, is a different subgroup than Tao, who was part of EXO and EXO-M. I chose one of his solo songs because I feel like Bob Seger would rather work with one person than a group:
To be fair, Bob Seger might be totally down to work with all of EXO or EXO-K. I just feel like their music is so drastically different, it might be easier for Baekhyun to lean into Bob Seger’s genre than the other way around. People born this day are charming and sociable, so they would probably get along at least!
Billy Joel & Depeche Mode
Dave Gahan of Depeche Mode shares his May 9th birthday with Billy Joel. Billy Joel is a super popular singer/songwriter, with tons of hits I’m sure you’ve heard:

Depeche Mode is a trippy rock band. I actually saw them live once, but I got blackout drunk and don’t remember much of it. It was a good time, from what I remember:
People born this day are bold and courageous. This could mean a lot of butting heads (especially with stubborn Taurus) but I think this would be a great collab. Billy Joel’s piano-based, introspective rock would go well with Depeche Mode’s psychedelic rock.
Darius Rucker & Stevie Wonder
Born May 13th, I think this would be an awesome collab. Darius Rucker is now known as a country singer. However, he got his start in the band Hootie & The Blowfish. He has a very deep, gritty voice that served both genres well:
Stevie Wonder is of course a well-known singer/songwriter, known for his soul/funk hits and a few ballads here and there. I met him at an LA nightclub one time and he’s like 7 feet tall (not really, I probably just felt small compared to such a big presence). He had a ton of people around him but I did get to shake his hand. My friend had long fingers and he asked her if she played the piano. I don’t know, just something interesting in case you’re curious! There’s my name drop for this post, haha.

Actually, it looks like these two did perform live together at some point. There is no video but the audio sounds good:
Since they’ve already worked together, they should definitely make a song together! People born this day are mature and independent. The independence might hurt a collab, but if they’re mature enough to deal with it, they should be fine!
Olly Murs & Shanice
This would be amazing omg. Born May 14th, Olly Murs is a pop star from England. He got his start on The X-Factor. Interestingly, he sang “Superstition” by Stevie Wonder, who has a birthday the day before him. He has since gone on to a fully fledged pop career:
Shanice is an amazing pop/R&B singer who has never gotten the credit she deserves, I don’t think. “I Love Your Smile” was probably her biggest hit, mostly because it’s more pop than her other songs.

They’re both super talented singers, so I would be really interested to hear this! People born this day are insightful and patient, which should make a great collab!
The Chainsmokers & Janet Jackson
Alex Pall of The Chainsmokers shares his May 16th birthday with Janet Jackson. The chainsmokers are a production duo and they collaborate with other artists a lot.
Janet Jackson was first known as Michael Jackson’s younger sister, but she more than proved her talent with her long, illustrious pop career. She has recently come back into popularity, due to a societal revisiting of “Nipplegate” and her role in the incident. She was truly more of a victim, but she took most of the criticism for the event. Now that public perspective has shifted, she has seen a resurgence in her career.
Since The Chainsmokers work with a lot of pop acts, and Janet is a pop act who is not only an icon, but a current popular artist, I think this would be a great song. People born this day are gifted and reliable. “Gifted” could mean anything, but clearly both artists are gifted at music. If they’re able to collaborate well, I think this should definitely happen.
Enya & Pierce The Veil
Enya Patrice Brennan, also known as just Enya, shares a May 17th birthday with Jaime Preciado of Pierce the Veil. This collab would be weird as hell, but I think it would be interesting. Enya is known for her ambient, smooth songs you would hear in a psychologist’s waiting room:
Pierce the Veil is a rock band, with a totally different vibe from Enya. I love this band, but I have to be in the right headspace for it:
I mean, they’re totally different. However, they could do an Evanescence style thing and I think it could work. People born this day are smart and thoughtful, which are both great qualities for a collaboration.
Marshmello & Sam Smith
Born May 19th, this would be a great song! Marshmello is otherwise known as Christopher Comstock. He is a producer and DJ who usually hides his face in a marshmallow-style mask:

He has shown his face before, but this is kinda his thing. Sam Smith is an incredible R&B/pop artist, known for his “blue-eyed soul” and his unique voice:
Guess what? They’ve worked together before! I love when this happens. Since I never look it up ahead of time, I’m discovering it as I’m writing it. I gotta be honest, I hate the synth that comes in after the vocals. It’s like nails on a chalkboard to me, but still, it’s a collab! I wonder if they talked about their same birthday:
People born this day are exciting and secure. Since they already collaborated, I’m going to assume it went well!
Busta Rhymes & Cher
LOL shut up. I think this would be an absolutely wild collab, which is exactly why it needs to happen. Born May 20th, Busta Rhymes is a rapper who was huge when I was a kid. He’s not as well-known now, but this was a huge song in my childhood:

Cher is obviously Cher. We all know her, either from her early days as “Sonny & Cher,” her solo career, her resurgence as a pop/disco artist, or her Twitter antics:
Could this work? I have no idea, but I’m willing to find out. People born this day are versatile and kind. Versatility would help these two work together, and kindness is always good for working together.
What do you think of these collabs between Taurus musicians? Who would be best or worst? Let me know in the comments!
