The Sagittarius Musician: How Your Zodiac Sign Impacts Your Music

Happy birthday, Sagittarius friends! I have a complete list of every Sagittarius musician here, and I wanted to expand on that to discuss what what that really means.
Some people don’t believe in zodiac signs at all, while some people believe every bit of it. I feel like I fall somewhere in the middle, and most people probably do as well. There are SO many factors that can affect your personality, including your childhood, your life circumstances, etc, that it really can’t be all dependent on your zodiac sign. Other people point out that your main zodiac sign (your Star Sign) is just one part of your life, and that you also have Sun Signs, Moon Signs, Planet Signs, and other factors.
When you consider all of these, it’s no wonder that you may not feel like you identify with your star sign. That’s okay! You can find out any of your other signs here. You can scroll down to find your Venus Sign, Vertex, Mercury Sign, and many others. Once you have those, you may find that your personality is much more similar to one of your other signs. I’ll be writing about each sign over the coming year, so you can come back and find the one that’s closest to you.

Sagittarius Singers, Songwriters and Musicians
There are overviews of Sagittarius everywhere, but let’s go over it briefly just to cover the bases: Sagittarians are known to be bright and funny. Enthusiastic and adventurous, they are not afraid to go after what they want. This can also mean stepping over others to get their way, which is not usually a good thing. They can be blunt to a fault, but their honesty is useful in many settings as well.

Honest, creative lyrics come easily to Sagittarius. They can finish a whole album in the time it takes many to write one song. However, it is important to remember that co-writing is the best way to get lasting hits today, and this is one of the biggest struggles for Sags.
Since Sagittarius loves working alone, they can be quite awful in co-writing sessions. They may be brilliant creators, but their brutal honesty and independence can make them an unreliable or impossible collaborator. If you’re a Sagittarius, realize that working with others is vital to your music career!
If your co-writer is a Sagittarius, remember that there is a benefit to their honesty. You may not like what they’re saying, but can you use it as a helpful tool? It’s best to let them work independently and meet intermittently, to allow them to do their best work solo. A collaboration doesn’t always have to be face-to-face, and sometimes you can fit your pieces together later!
The Singing Sagittarius

Performing in a band or group will be a challenge for this sign. They prefer to do everything themselves, mostly because they just love working alone. It has less to do with ego and more to do with the fact that they just love solitude. A competition like The Voice or America’s Got Talent would be great for Sags, since it allows them to shine on stage alone.
Heavy drinking can be a common vice for Sags, so it’s important to keep your partying under control. Don’t overdue it before a gig, and remember that alcohol will take its toll on your voice and body overtime.
You’re likely to find unique ways of singing and performing, since you love creating new things often. However, make sure your unique style is also healthy for your voice. Work with a vocal coach and develop healthy habits to keep your voice going strong for years to come!

Your lack of focus and inconsistency will likely hinder your instrument lessons, so it’s important to get a handle on that before committing to an instrument! Find creative ways to learn and make the instrument fun for yourself. You might not enjoy band practice, but you may do quite well with private lessons. It’s important for you to be passionate about what you do, so if you’re not thrilled with one instrument, see if you might like another better.
That’s not to say that you should give up easily, however. You are strong willed when you want to be, so you should have no problem buckling down and learning something once you like it.
Sagittarius and the Music Business

You know what you want and you’ll stop at nothing to get it. This is a great start in the music industry! Just make sure you take care of yourself (not too much partying). Remember the saying “no man is an island?” You need to remember that here. Your team is here to HELP you, so let them help! No one can succeed in the music industry by doing everything themselves, so let people do what they do. Your honesty will help them see what you’re looking for, but try not to be so brutally honest that you chase your team away!
You are kindhearted and generous with fans, which will help your career now and in the long run. If you keep kindness as your main goal, you’ll go very far in music and in life!
I hope this gives you an overview of life as a Sagittarius musician! Feel free to pin the top image so you can check in with this post again. I’ve also made this infographic you can use for bullet points:

Hello, I’m a Sagittarius and I liked your article. I did notice however that at the end you wrote “Libra” instead of “Sagittarius” above the infographic. Surely an honest mistake, but I thought I’d point it. Definitely going to take your advice to heart.
