Virgo Musicians Who Should Collab Because They Have the Same Birthday
Virgo musicians (and all other signs) are a big part of my blog. I listed every Virgo musician ever in this post, and I analyzed how Virgos can use their sign to find success in the music industry here. I think it’s safe to say that meticulously listing every Virgo musician is a very Virgo thing to do. Today we are discussing Virgo celebrities who should collab, based solely on the fact that they have the same birthday.
I won’t be including every Virgo because that’s exhausting, but feel free to check my list if you want and let me know if I missed someone you think would make a great collab.

Virgo Celebrities Who Should Collab
Literally the only thing these artists might have in common is their birthday, but that’s enough for a good start. We might get some unique and cool mixups through this. If you have an ideal Virgo collab, shoot me a tweet and let me know:My ideal Virgo collab: Click To Tweet
Lil’ Yachty and Rick Springfield
See, I knew these collabs would be wild. We’re already off to a good start. I’m not good at doing mashups but if anyone wants to make some, please do and send me the link!
Lil’ Yachty is known for his mumble rap, but also for his hair and teeth style:
Rick Springfield has zillions of songs but this is probably the one we all know best:
Both of these artists were born August 23rd. Lil’ Yachty just released his 4th studio album this year, and Rick Springfield has over 20 albums under his belt. Springfield’s rock style with a 16-bar feature of Lil’ Yachty would be pretty amazing.
Billy Ray Cyrus and Gene Simmons
I don’t know that this one would work, but Cyrus has worked with Lil’ Nas X, so we know he can go outside of his country genre. While his best-known hit is “Achy Breaky Heart,” I’m going to instead show you “Old Town Road” because it’s way better:
Gene Simmons of course is from KISS, a rock band with the coolest shoes I’ve ever seen. They have a lot of hits but since I’m from Detroit, here is Detroit Rock City:
Both born August 25th, people born on this day are said to be adaptable and focused. Those are good qualities for a collab, and I’m sure Miley could help her dad with the KISS makeup.
Leann Rimes and Shania Twain
This actually makes a lot of sense; I’m kind of surprised they haven’t worked together before. Both are prolific country artists and both haven’t crossed my mind in over a decade, but I think this would be a solid duet.
Leann Rimes was huge in the early 2000’s, especially for the soundtrack to the movie Coyote Ugly. On a personal note, I sang “Can’t Fight the Moonlight” for a talent show. I forgot half of the words due to nerves, and at the end maybe one or two people clapped so it was hella awkward. Here’s he original song:
Shania Twain had a TON of hits and according to her Wikipedia page, she is the best-selling female artist in country music history. Here is just one of her many hits:
Born August 28th, this birthday is said to be “humble” and “minimalist.” I don’t know anything about either of these artists but if that’s true, a simple acoustic guitar production with the two of them singing would be great.
Richard Gere and Van Morrison
Yep, Richard Gere the actor is also a singer. Here he is in Chicago:
Van Morrison is what everyone’s dad listens to, but he does have some chill hits:
Richard Gere has never released an album of his own, but he could definitely hop on a Van Morrison track and I think he’d knock it out. They’re both about the same age (Van Morrison in 1945, Gere in 1949) and their birthday is August 31st. This day is said to be “sincere” and “moralistic.” I don’t know if those are good traits for a collab, but their voices would sound good together at least!
The Bee Gees and Gloria Estefan
Barry Gibb is the one with the birthday, but I think the whole band should collab with Ms. Estefan. The Bee Gees are a sweet band from the 60’s, most notable for their work on the movie Saturday Night Fever:
Gloria Estefan is a queen, I adore her. She’s a singer-songwriter in her own right and also the lead singer of Miami Sound Machine. I used to dance in front of the TV while watching her, trying (and failing) to imitate her moves:
Both born on September 1st, these people are typically “insightful” and “curious.” We’ve got a ton of creativity in this duet!
Fall Out Boy and BTS
Okay but seriously, this needs to happen. Can you imagine?! The only problem would be fitting them all on stage.
Joe Trohman of Fall Out Boy and Jungkook of BTS both have a birthday on September 1st (similar to the Bee Gees and Gloria Estefan above, but I made the decision to pair them this way). Fall Out Boy is a punk rock band formed in 2001:
BTS is a massive K-Pop band that has exploded into American culture, much to the disappointment of racist idiots. As of writing this, they just released this song 12 hours ago and it already has over 56 million views:
Fall Out Boy has already featured RM of BTS on their song “Champion,” so a full collab would be natural at this point:
Beyonce and Mark Ronson
We all know Beyonce so she needs no introduction. Mark Ronson is a prolific songwriter, having worked with Bruno Mars and Amy Winehouse to name a few. His most notable song is Uptown Funk:
I mean, even if Beyonce just covered this song, would it not be amazing?? I don’t even know which of her songs to put here, but this is my absolute favorite to sing/scream in the shower:
I’m surprised these two haven’t worked together already. Born September 4th, they are said to be “creative” and “intellectual.” I predict a collab between them in the future.
Macy Gray and Pink Floyd
This would actually be amazing. I know Pink Floyd isn’t really a band anymore, but even if the remaining members got together to produce a similar sound, with Macy Gray singing, that would be stunning.
Roger Waters is the Virgo, born September 6th and known for co-founding the psychedelic rock band:
Macy Gray is known for her signature gravely voice, and her huge single “I Try” released in 1999:
I really think Macy Gray should do a Pink Floyd cover. She already covered “Creep” by Radiohead on Howard Stern’s show, and she has an album called “Covered” of all cover songs. Time for a birthday Pink Floyd collab!
P!nk and Wiz Khalifa
Wiz Khalifa already did a song with Charlie Puth a few years ago that came out great, and I would kind of put Charlie Puth and P!nk in the same category. Here is “See You Again” from the Furious 7 movie soundtrack:
Fun fact: Charlie Puth wrote the song but was originally not going to be in it. He wrote the song about a friend of his who passed away, which tied into Paul Walker’s untimely death. Here is a video of him talking about how he wrote it.
P!nk has been a big deal for decades, not only with her own music but writing for multiple artists. Her most viewed video is “So What:”
I don’t think a P!nk/Wiz Khalifa collab is out of the realm of possibility. I think they would sound good together and since they were both born on September 8th, they already have that in common.
Hunter Hayes and Michael Buble
I really like Hunter Hayes’ voice; I heard of him first with his single “Storm Warning:”
Lately it seems like he’s become less country and infused some R&B and pop (at least in his singles), so a duet with Michael Buble isn’t out of the question. Buble, of course, is the jazz singer your grandma references to seem hip and cool. He does mostly jazz covers but had a huge hit with “Haven’t Met You Yet” in 2009:
To be honest, I don’t know if their voices would sound good together. Their timbres are completely different. While Hayes has a thinner, higher pitch with a slight country twang, Buble has a deeper, huskier tone and tends to stay heavy as he goes up his register. I’d definitely be willing to check it out though, and their September 9th birthdays are supposed to make them “focused” and “determined,” so it could be an amazing duet or their egos could lead to a fist fight. Either way, I’m down.
Big Daddy Kane and Aerosmith
Big Daddy Kane hasn’t done anything new in a while, which is a shame because he’s known for being one of the most influential MCs in hip hop. His most known hit is probably “Ain’t No Half Steppin'” which came out in 1988:
Joe Perry of Aerosmith was also born September 10th, and Aerosmith already worked with rap group Run DMC on “Walk This Way.” It came out great so I definitely think they should work with Big Daddy Kane on something new:
Harry Connick Jr. and Ludacris
This one made me laugh out loud, but why the hell not? Why shouldn’t they work together? Born September 11th, they’re said to be “confident” and “knowledgeable.”
Harry Connick Jr. is a jazz singer and pianist and also a former American Idol judge. Here is my favorite song of his, where he shows off not only his incredible voice but his mind-blowing piano skills:
They are also both actors, Connick appearing in Will & Grace, Law & Order and a ton of other things I don’t feel like writing. Ludacris has been in the Fast & Furious series and many other things. I’m dating myself here but this is the first Ludacris song I knew when I was a kid:
Bone Thugs N’ Harmony and BTS
Bizzy Bone of BTNH and Rap Monster of BTS share a September 12th birthday. I was absolutely obsessed with Bone Thugs in middle school and high school. Their best-known hit is “Crossroads”:
Of course we all know BTS already and I put one of their videos above. I’m trying to keep this post speed-friendly but I’m sure that’s not going to happen. Sorry, but this is important journalistic work and I can’t present these ideas without providing audio evidence.
Honestly though, I would love this collab. I guess Bone Thugs already worked with Wiz Khalifa on his song “Reach for the Stars”:
Not gonna lie, that hook is something that I would have written in 2nd grade. But the verses are solid and reminded me of how much I loved Bone Thugs as a kid. I really want this collab to happen!
Jennifer Hudson and Kelsea Ballerini
Ballerini and Hudson share a September 12th birthday, as do the two above. There are quite a few September 12th birthdays, so I’m picking who I want to collab most. Let me know if you have a different mashup idea! Jennifer Hudson of course is known for her appearance on American Idol and Dreamgirls, along with a ton of other things.
Kelsea Ballerini is a country singer. I’m not super familiar with her but here is one of her big hits:
Although they have completely different genres, I do think they would make a great duet. Their vocals have a similar huskiness to them, and they both have a ton of power. Hudson makes more use of her belting range but I think that’s just because of her genre. The two of them together could really give me goosebumps.
Megadeth and Fiona Apple
Dave Mustaine, guitar player, singer and songwriter of Megadeth and Fiona Apple share a September 13th birthday. Once you peel away the exterior of each, they’re surprisingly similar. Here is one of Megadeth’s more well-known songs:
Also, shameless self-plug, I covered a Megadeth song a while ago. Megadeth fans hate it but my sweatshirt is cool as hell so get wrecked, haters.
Fiona Apple is a singer/songwriter whose melancholy style might suit Megadeth well. Megadeth tends to be very high energy and Fiona Apple not so much, but if they met in the middle it could be cool.
Rascal Flatts and Niall Horan
Joe Don Rooney of Rascal Flatts and Niall Horan (formerly of One Direction) share the same September 13th birthday. I could have put Niall Horan and Fiona Apple together, but I do not think Rascal Flatts and Megadeth would go well together. Let me know if you disagree! Here is their biggest hit:
Niall Horan has done his own thing after leaving One Direction. His biggest hit thus far is probably Slow Hands:
I think country music has become so mainstream pop nowadays that this collab isn’t entirely impossible. They could either do a country song or a pop song and I think either artist could handle it. It would be interesting to hear if nothing else!
Flo Rida and Nick Jonas
I’m kind of surprised these two haven’t worked together already. Both born on September 16th, they are said to be “meticulous” and “inquisitive.” I think that’s all Virgos, no?
Flo Rida is a singer and rapper, and it took me WAY too long to realize his name is just “Florida” but cooler. Here is his biggest hit, “My House:”
Nick Jonas broke into the music scene with The Jonas Brothers, but now does his own thing. His song “Jealous” was a huge hit in 2014:
This song drives me nuts. I like the melody and production, but the words are so stupid. “It’s my right to be hellish, I still get jealous”?!? What does that even mean? I understand it’s not easy to rhyme anything with “jealous,” but come on. Here are a few off the top of my head: “It’s my right to be selfish, I still get jealous,” “I know you can tell this, I still get jealous,” “There’s no need to embellish, I still get jealous.” I mean, “hellish” doesn’t even rhyme with “jealous” so you could use anything there.
Anyway, I think this would be a great collab and would make a lot of sense. I predict this will happen at one point. Just let Flo Rida write the lyrics, please.
Everyone on September 18th and Me
I’ll collab, I’m down. But seriously, some notable September 18th birthdays are Darryl Hill of the Wu-Tang Clan, Dee Dee Ramone of The Ramones and Xzibit. Also, not a musician but James Gandolfini, aka Tony Soprano was born on this date. Honestly Xzibit and Wu-Tang should collab for sure, but I’m ready and willing if anyone of these wants to work with me.
‘Tegan and Sara’ and Trisha Yearwood
I did not know this but Tegan and Sara are twins. They share their September 19th birthday with Trisha Yearwood, making them “hardworking” and “organized.” Again, these are traits that apply to all Virgos I think.
Tegan and Sara are a quirky pop duo:
Trisha Yearwood is a country singer who rose to fame with this song:
I don’t know how this collab would turn out. Yearwood is pretty solidly country, and Tegan and Sara have a distinct brand as well. Still, I would be interested to hear a quirky pop country duet and if anyone could pull it off, they could.
Faith Hill and Lindsey Stirling
This one would be interesting. Faith Hill is a country singer and is best known for her single “Breathe:”
Lindsey Stirling is a violin player who was first discovered on America’s Got Talent, but then became known for her original songs and her theatric music videos:
I think anyone could collab with Stirling and it would turn out great, but she and Faith Hill share a September 21st birthday so I put them together, along with the next two:
Jason Derulo and Liam Gallagher
I totally thought Liam Gallagher was from One Direction, but I had him confused with Liam Payne. Liam Gallagher is from Oasis, so that would be an interesting collab with Jason Derulo. They share a September 21st birthday along with Faith Hill and Lindsey Stirling.
I did a parody of “Trumpets” for a wedding gift, and that song still pops into my head randomly:
Quick note: If you’re looking for a really cool and original gift, a parody of a song they love is a great idea! You can sing it yourself or hire someone (ahem) and it’s a one-of-a-kind gift they’ll love. All you need is a karaoke of the track and your own story to tell. Here are some tips to write your story in a meaningful way.
Here is Oasis, I’m really not sure a duet would work between these two, but it’s worth a shot:
What do you think, could you hear it? Let me know!
Andrea Bocelli and Joan Jett
lol, come on. How could this not be both terrible and epic at the same time?? Andrea Bocelli is a famous classical singer, and Joan Jett is a rock singer. They both have a September 22nd birthday, and that’s probably the only thing they have in common. Here is Andrea Bocelli:
And here is Joan Jett with her signature hit, “I Love Rock N’ Roll:”
Thinking of these two in a duet blows my mind right out of my skull. I just can’t picture it. You either have Joan Jett trying to sing a classical piece or Bocelli trying to rock, and neither seem feasible to me. Or they do some weird hybrid thing, I don’t know.
I saw Joan Jett live once and the one thing I remember about the show was that my cousin was almost run over by a guy out of his mind on drugs, dancing down the aisle. He was waving his arms wildly and had no idea where he was, and my cousin wasn’t paying attention as he came barreling toward her. At the last minute, my friend yanked her out of harm’s way, allowing the madman to pass in peace. He had no idea he almost collided with her, and neither did she until she was saved.
So yeah… should these two collab? Let me know your thoughts!
